Peewee was born on July 19, 1955 in Monte Vista, Colorado, to Silver and Stella (Abeyta) Velasquez, Fermin "Peewee" Velasquez grew up in Colorado Springs and graduated from Palmer High School, while participating in many activities such as Folkloricos and Boxing at the Boys and Girls Club. On November 12, 2017 Peewee was called home to be with the Lord.

Peewee was a million-dollar-man. Everyone he met almost instantly loved him. He touched the hearts of everyone he crossed paths with. Many people regarded him as a compassionate, enthusiastic and honest man. The light within him, helped the light in others to shine, with Peewee you could be yourself without judgment.

He deeply loved his children and family. He enjoyed walking and the sunshine. He loved Oldies, Country and 70's music and was great at dancing. He enjoyed watching western and action movies. He spent most of his time with friends and family having fun and quality time. More than anything he loved Jesus Christ, and adored God's Word, the Bible; he was saved. He would give anything he had to others, he sheltered and feed anyone who needed help; he was an angel here on earth.

He is survived by his children, Fermin Velasquez, Amos Velasquez, Stephanie Abeyta, Sonia Velasquez, Jay Velasquez, Clint Velasquez, his sisters Carmen Velasquez, Cleo Pacheco, Annabelle Moss, his brothers Ray Pacheco, George Pacheco, Steve Velasquez, Claude Velasquez, Silver Velasquez, Rocky Velasquez and Clifford Velasquez, 12 grandchildren and mothers of his children, Pamela Martinez and Susie Chavaria.

He is preceded in passing by his father, Silver Velasquez, his mother Stella (Abeyta) Velasquez, his brothers, Paul Pacheco and Ramon Pacheco, sisters Patsy Velasquez and Peggy Velasquez.

He will be deeply missed.until we're reunited again in heaven, we love you Peewee.
